Should we (the client) provide meals for you at the reception?
When myself (and team) are photographing all day we always appreciate it when meals are provided. Food and drink keeps our energy levels up, and your guests will not like having photos taken whilst they are eating anyway, so it is a good time for us to eat too. However we are just as happy to leave the reception for up to an hour to eat elsewhere.
Are you available every weekend of the year?
Generally YES I am available to capture weddings throughout all seasons - including mid-week events too. However I do have bookings up to 2 years in advance so please check availability as early as you can.
*** NOTE: I hardly ever photograph multiple weddings back-to-back. E.g. Three in a row Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I prefer to capture only one wedding per weekend so I am always 'fresh' and fully attentive to just one couple. Also this allows me enough time after your wedding to properly edit and finish off all your images without being rushed or overworked.
Is there a booking amount to be paid?
The industry standard is to normally ask for what is known as a 'booking retainer' which locks away your date and I then stop advertising it as available. The final balance can be paid anytime before the wedding date. I also accept monthly payments if that helps, or other arrangements that may suit.
Do you have any hidden expenses?
No. The price list outlines exactly what is included. Wedding Albums and other services are all specified separately. I currently have a FREE Wedding Album offer.
What happens if my wedding goes a little longer than the number of hours we booked you for?
Unlike other photographers, and within reason, I do not get up and leave when a certain amount of hours you booked are exactly up. E.g. I would never force you to do a mock cake cutting just so as I can get away early. I like to stay till the very end, and in fact I'm often seen running like the Paparazzi after the wedding car as the bride and groom leave the reception, to get that last final image.
How long before we get our images?
Two to three days immediately after your wedding I like to send you some sneak peeks, perfect for sharing on Facebook etc. Then I ask that you allow me approximately 4 to 6 weeks. The reason why it takes this long is that I do not like to rush the process. I personally edit each and every photo, and so do NOT outsource this important task to agencies or overseas editors in place like India and China. The wait is well worth it, and I keep in touch with you to let you know how it is all going.
What happens if we lose our images?
Don't worry. I keep full backups for at least three years, both onsite and offsite at another location.
